Before April, we asked all our customers: What is one single thing, that would make Herodesk better for you?

We dedicated the month to improving our “core product” and updating as many things as possible. And we did! Here we go…

 

Major Product Updates

📝 Auto-translate settings per inbox (86b3wmz14)

Create rules for each inbox to automatically translate all incoming messages to your language, and all outgoing messages to either a specific language or the language the customer wrote to you in (which we auto-detect)

 

🔎 Search in message content (86b2cbxmk)

We have updated the search engine to also look in the content of each message in a conversation, both sent, received and internal notes. This makes it easier to find exactly what you’re looking for.

 

💻 Improve the layout of tables on incoming messages (86b2y96vg)

We have spent a lot of time improving the layout and design of incoming messages, so that they better reflect the original message. This means tables, etc. are now shown correctly, making it easier for you to read.

 

Other Product Updates

  • All widgets are now loading asynchronously and are non-blocking (so you can move to the next conversation without waiting for the widgets to load) (86b4ay961)

  • Facebook Messenger removes hyperlinks, so now we show them in a () instead, so they are still visible (86b4cgf1x)
  • Fixed line-break and paragraph-break in the text editor when writing to customers, which also fixes broken lists, etc. (86b47ndjq)
  • Added a new {{contact.email}} merge field (86b4cb44c)
  • Updated our OpenAI models to gpt-4.1 (faster and better!) (86b4t85yy)
  • For all webshop widgets, we’ve added a “copy order number” button in the list + a quick-link to open that order in the shop backend in a new window (86b41md6u)
  • In the Smartpack widget, if an order is held back because of a preordered product, show exactly which product it is (86b4ra28q)
  • Added a “quick add”-button on the quick replies pop-up (86b4azjbc)
  • Added new keyboard shortcuts for “close and go to next conversation” (86b4ru3re)
  • Show “created at” timestamp for side conversations in the right-hand side widget (86b4f2c8x)
  • A conversation’s tags are now visible in the conversation widget on the right hand side (86b49qnw9)

 

Fixed bugs 🪲

  • Live chat email verification was sent from the default channel address, not your own email address (86b47af8n)
  • When a Rule should forward a conversation, it would fail if it tried to send to a known contact (86b4bw7u6)
  • When forwarding an e-mail to Herodesk, the original sender email address was not shown in the message body (86b48482t)
  • It was not possible to remove the emoji from an inbox (86b3xjajv)
  • Orders in the Shopware widget showed oldest first (86b4fng3p)
