If we don’t have an out-of-the-box integrations, you can use our “Custom Widget” to connect with your backend ERP/CRM tools and view data in Herodesk.

Show your own data in Herodesk

If you wish to show data from your own systems, that we do not integrate with out of the box, you can install a Custom Widget to get data from your system and present it as a widget inside Herodesk. The Custom Widget is for advanced users and requires you to do some programming on your side.

Easy to install and configure

During installation, you must enter the URL of your custom widget endpoint. This endpoint must return a JSON-feed preformatted as described in our documentation. The contents will then be displayed as a widget inside Herodesk.

Context aware integration

Whenever you open a conversation, our system sends a GET request to the custom widget URL you have defined, including the conversation details. This provides you with the necessary data (e.g., FX, customer email address) to process internally, locate the data you wish to display in Herodesk, and return it to us.

How to use the Custom Widget

The Custom Widget is for advanced users only, as it requires you to do some programming in step 2 below, to fetch, format and return the right data to Herodesk. But once that’s done, it’s an easy way to show your own data in Herodesk, making it easy for you and your customer service colleagues to handle customer questions.
1) Configure the custom widget

Define the endpoint that the widget should get data from.

2) Set up your custom endpoint

Your endpoint should get the relevant data from your systems and return it in a JSON-feed.

3) Data is shown in Herodesk

Your custom data will then be shown in Herodesk for each conversation.

Yes! Send us your latest invoice from the other provider. We will give you Herodesk Plus free of charge for the period you’ve already pre-paid with the other provider. Afterwards, you will pay for Herodesk as per our regular pricing and terms.
